Upcycle used bottles into something much better. Recycled glass is flattened, cut, shaped, and fused into whimsical ornaments and this ornament/sun catcher, a unique and novel treasure sure to delight anyone.

Each ornament is made from wine bottle glass that is cut and fused into a classic Christmas tree shape.

Makes a wonderful gift for bridal showers, house warming, hostess present or any occasion for a favorite friend.

How it's made:

1. Get the Bottles: The maker collects used bottles from a local wine bar, wine festivals and friends.

2. Clean the Bottles: The bottles are thoroughly cleaned and any labels or other decorative items are removed so they don't interfere in the melting process.

3. Flatten the Bottles: The bottles are baked in a kiln at a temperature of over 1400 degrees and flattens under its own weight, while retaining its basic original shape.
