Blind Date with a Book

Blind Date With a Book is just what the title suggests - a date with a book that you don't know.

Unlike a blind date between people, though, appearances are not the first thing you get to judge when you meet your next read. You know next to nothing about the book except for it’s thickness, size and broadly descriptive words written on the brown paper.

Includes a surprise of both paperbacks or hardcovers in a great mix of different genres. The books are upcycled, slightly used and in fantastic shape with no marks, smells or writing.

Uses of the blind date book are endless, try adding it to a gift basket or as a gift on its own!

Size: Height: 9", Width: 5 1/2". Sizes are approximate and vary by book.

Disappointed

I purchased a Blind Date with a Book at the SLO Farmer’s Market last week. I thought it was such a cool idea I just had to buy one! After unwrapping the book I was disappointed to find out it was the sequel to another book I’ve never read and don’t currently own. I found it unusual that a sequel would be selected for this type of thing… and naturally I feel scammed out of $10.

Hi Michelle. Sorry about your experience with Blind Date with a Book and that you ended up with a sequel. We agree that it certainly doesn't make sense to include sequels in the selection. Unfortunately, since you didn't buy your book from LocalWe, there isn't much we can do about it. We recommend bringing the item back to the farmer's market where you purchased it and asking for a refund or to exchange. Please let us know if there is any other way we can be of assistance. Thanks for supporting local artisans and small businesses.
