Mary Elizabeth says: "In art therapy, the self is represented through our representation of trees. Every branch, every twig, every shade of leaf, is an expression of myself at that moment. In working with the unpredictable nature of alcohol inks, I create controlled structure while simultaneously "going with the flow" and working around and with the unpredictable shapes and blends of the inks. I love the technical challenge required to make it all work together to create something graceful and beautiful."
Mary Elizabeth finds her happy place creating birds, trees and other works. She hopes you can see a happy version of yourself in her work as well.

About the Manufacturer
Mary Elizabeth Arts
Chapel Hill, NC
The founder, Mary, creates original art and hand-painted glassware on her family farm in Chapel Hill, NC, where they also keep chickens and a small orchard and vegetable garden. The glasses are entirely made in the USA. A painter her whole life, she is inspired by the beauty of the trees, flowers, birds, fish and mushrooms that surround her on the farm.
Giving Back: Mary enjoys giving back. She has volunteered her talents teaching glass and ceramic painting to artists in Haiti, as therapeutic outlets for cancer patients and their families and she offers free how-to tutorials on her blog and Facebook page. She enjoys sharing what she knows and thinks that "Life is better when you share what you have." We agree Mary Elizabeth!
